Pocket SolveIT is one of Europe's best Customer Relationship Management applications, says independent analyst

The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application Pocket SolveIT from Ericsson and Tacton has been selected by Aberdeen Group as a success story for a newly released study of European CRM implementations. The application was judged to be one of Europe's ten most successful CRM projects. The end-customer enjoys a high level of service while both Ericsson Enterprise and their partners achieve time savings of on average two months for the introduction of new products.

Pocket SolveIT works as a portable webshop. It makes it possible to configure and sell the entire Ericsson Enterprise product portfolio and provide the global partner network with information and local market business rules, offers, possible product customizations, information and prices in local currency etc.

Product information becomes more accessible and easy to use, which makes it simpler for partners and resellers to meet individual end-customer requirements for customizable products. With the help of Tacton's sales Configurator, which is in-built into Pocket SolveIT, the partners and resellers get the support of an expert system which in only a few minutes guides the seller to a functional and fully customized solution.

Pocket SolveIT allows Ericsson Enterprise to quickly get new products and upgrades out to the world market and customers always get the latest information from the partners and resellers.

The Aberdeen report on Pocket SolveIT concludes: "Ultimately, the new sales tool has been a huge win for Ericsson Enterprise and its partners. Partners' sales personnel can now take advantage of an easy-to-use and effective configuration sales tool that significantly shortens the process of selling complex products. By allowing partners to use the Tacton Configurator, Ericsson has moved itself into the forefront of complex, large ticket sales that combine multiple supplier's products."
