Munters streamlines sales process by 75% with new system from Tacton

December 14, 2006, Stockholm, Sweden– Munters has signed an agreement with Tacton Systems to purchase software and services for sales configuration. Munters has a very positive view of the investment, which is expected to reduce lead times and streamline the sales process in Europe by as much as 75 percent.

Tacton’s sales configurator makes it easy for Munters’ sales force in Europe to produce quotes quickly that present the optimal product solution based on the customer’s needs and requirements. Another benefit is that the sales force does not need to perform any time-consuming estimates of what are often complex orders themselves. That means Munters can cut lead times and significantly reduce the time required for the sales process.

“We expect that the lead time required from request to quote will be reduced by as much as 75 percent with the help of Tacton’s sales configurator.  We save manpower on every quote, which allows us to use our resources more effectively. I also see significant time savings when handling orders since our customers will receive precise quotes, which means orders will be error-free,” says Dietmar Müller, VP of Sales and Marketing for Munters in Europe.

Munters has invested SEK 5 million in technology from Tacton, and Munters expects to receive a quick ROI thanks to reduced lead times and a streamlined sales process in Europe. The next step is for the system to convert quotes into orders and production documents to optimize the order placement process and cut lead times even further.
