Salesforce Tacton Configurator, best-in class Sales Configurator in Salesforce CRM.
With the introduction of the Salesforce Tacton Configurator,Tacton provides organizations with Sales Configuration and CPQ functionality to Salesforce CRM.
The integration is fully compliant with the latest release of Salesforce CRM and will be used by several customers. In autumn 2010, the Salesforce Tacton Configurator package will also be available on the Salesforce.com AppExchange.
The Salesforce Tacton Configurator distinguishes three main functionalities:
1. Best-in-class configuration functionality for interactive Sales configuration and Guided Selling, resulting in valid and optimal product configurations.
2. Dynamic Pricing for price calculation and optimization during the configuration session.
3. Automatic Document Generation of complex and professional custom Quote, Proposal and Order Documents, enhancing the standard Salesforce Real Time Quote functionality.
The Dutch based company Meyn Food Processing Technology (www.meyn.com), a worldwide supplier of solutions and equipment to the poultry processing industry, will go in production with the Salesforce Tacton Configurator in the summer 2010.
This release will use the online Salesforce.com with Salesforce Tacton Configurator. An off-line application for Quote Generation, with synchronization to the online Salesforce CRM, will follow later in the fall.
The integration will enable Meyn to generate Quotations directly in Salesforce CRM. Quotation documents and BOM lists are directly available in Salesforce CRM which results in a major reduction of the quote generation lead time.
Before selecting Tacton as their Sales Configurator vendor, Meyn did an extensive assessment of other Sales Configurator/CPQ vendors.
