Tacton Systems Releases Tacton Design Automation for PTC Creo

Stockholm, Sweden – December 13, 2017 – Tacton Systems, a leading global supplier of Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Design Automation solutions, today announced the release of Tacton Design Automation for PTC Creo® CAD software. PTC Creo is part of a leading suite of product design software applications used by thousands of manufacturers worldwide.

Generating drawings for sales reps to use in quotes is often a bottleneck that consumes valuable engineering resources in many companies. Tacton Design Automation enables both design engineers and sales reps to quickly capture end-customer requirements and automatically create customized 3D models and 2D drawings from leading CAD software vendors.

Now Tacton Design Automation enables customers to work seamlessly with automated Creo models and drawings from within the CAD environment. Even users without CAD skills can use this functionality, such as sales teams, customer service representatives and non-CAD engineers.

The launch of Tacton Design Automation for PTC Creo follows a successful pilot phase with selected Tacton customers across the globe. Pilot customers included PDS Vision, Alimak Hek, Väderstad, and Alfa Laval.

“Thanks to the seamless integration between Creo and Tacton Design Automation and its ease of use, many of our customers will be able to quickly create new design configurations while leveraging their existing investment and knowledge of PTC Creo,” said Paul Sagar, VP of CAD product management, PTC.
