It’s just over a year since I took on this role, and what a year it has been!
With today’s launch of our new branding (I hope you like it!), I thought I’d take the opportunity to recap on the big news here at Tacton.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve been working extremely hard to deliver the most significant developments in our 25-year history. We’ve launched new products, made our solutions available in the cloud, formed strategic partnerships, (including with Salesforce), made several key acquisitions and opened new offices.
Tacton is growing and we continue to strengthen our leadership as the #1 enabling partner for smarter manufacturing. We hope that you will grow with us!
Here’s the recap…
The launch of our flagship product, Tacton CPQ last autumn was perhaps the most significant achievement, and one we are particularly proud of. Tacton CPQ is the world’s first truly end-to-end CPQ solution for manufacturers. The solution harnesses over 15 years of experience, and is designed to support companies in their smart manufacturing (Industry 4.0) initiatives.
Tacton Extension for Salesforce
Salesforce has taken the world of sales solutions of by storm. With the launch of Tacton Extension for Salesforce CPQ at the end of last year, manufacturers using Salesforce can now access the full power of Tacton, so that sales teams can design and configure complex products and produce high-quality sales quotes – directly within the familiar Salesforce environment.
Tacton for SAP
SAP has a long-standing position as leader in the global business solutions space. With many of our customers relying on SAP for core business functions, we continue to invest in our SAP offering. The July 17 release of the most recent integration to SAP removes any barriers for SAP manufacturing customers to take full advantage of Tacton’s unique strengths in CPQ and design automation.
iOS mobile apps
As our users are becoming increasingly mobile, Tacton has developed a suite of applications for iOS. The vast majority of CPQ tasks can be now be carried out while on the road – directly from your iOS device.
New partners & acquisitions
Since joining Tacton I’ve spent a lot of time looking to strengthen our eco system of both solution partners, system integrators. The strategic partnership with Salesforce is perhaps the most significant news here, boosted by a completely new product – Tacton Extension for Salesforce CPQ.
However, a lot more has happened in this area. We’ve formed new strategic partnerships with system integrators in the US and Europe to deliver our solutions.
In November we acquired our long-time partner Lumographics and have integrated their dynamic 3D visualization tools into our core solutions.
With our acquisition of Lumographics and that of reseller and integration partner, Ventacor, both based in Germany, we’re making a strong statement about our growth intentions in the DACH market.
Earlier this year I announced our expansion in the North American market. With the opening of our Chicago HQ under a strong and experienced management team, I am really looking forward to spreading the Tacton message and offering our solutions to this market.
Meanwhile in Europe, a new head office for the DACH region has also been opened in Karlsruhe, Germany. The new office will allow us to strengthen our foothold and provide even better customer service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
As we move forward together, I personally do so with a sense of real excitement. A feeling I know that I share with everyone here at Tacton. It is now our job to make sure this momentum continues to be transferred to our customers and our partners. We will do this by keeping our foot on the accelerator and delivering leading products that we pride ourselves in, and more importantly, that deliver significant value to our customers.
