Tacton Systems launches Tacton CPQ for iOS mobile devices

Stockholm, Sweden – December 13, 2016 – Tacton Systems, global supplier of Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Design Automation solutions, today announced the launch of its first versions of Tacton CPQ for iOS mobile devices.

For the first time, Tacton’s flagship CPQ solution is now available in two apps that run on multiple mobile devices. The Tacton CPQ app for iPad® provides the same robust features and functionality as the web-based solution, and the Tacton CPQ Approvals app brings the CPQ approval workflow to the fingertips – and wrists – of sales reps in the field and other stakeholders on the go.

The Tacton CPQ app for iPad is built on Tacton’s powerful product configurator, which can handle even the most complex of product structures, and is always in sync with Tacton CPQ. It transforms the way companies create offers and close deals by ensuring a continuous data flow between the front and the back office. This way, sales teams, dealers and channel partners can gain access to the latest product and pricing information, and can produce accurate, high-quality quotes in a fraction of the time it usually takes – anywhere, any time.

The app can be configured to support face-to-face meetings with each individual customer to ensure that sales reps present just the right configuration options and other information to the customer and hide any sensitive or unnecessary information.

The Tacton CPQ Approvals app streamlines and automates the CPQ approval process, making it dramatically simpler to approve configured and customized products from supported iOS mobile devices. Enabled for iPhone® and even the Apple Watch®, this easy-to-use app helps speed the approval workflow by allowing users to send emails and review and respond to notifications instantly with a simple tap or swipe.

“For many businesses, the approval process represents a major bottleneck in responding to requests for quotes and prices,” says Nils Olsson, SVP of Product Development at Tacton. “With Tacton CPQ Approvals, we’ve responded to this challenge by creating apps for mobile devices that reflect the way our customers and other users communicate and do business today. This app and our CPQ app for the iPad bring collaboration to a whole new level and ultimately help our customers close deals faster.”

Tacton CPQ for iOS apps requires a running installation of Tacton CPQ. The apps can be used on iPhones and iPads released in 2012 or later.
