Tacton Wins Swedish Business Award in Germany 2017

Tacton Systems, a leading global supplier of Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Design Automation solutions, today announced that it has received the Swedish Business Award in Germany in recognition of its outstanding contribution to business in Germany.

Since 2003, this prestigious award has been presented annually to Swedish companies with successful operations in Germany. The award is sponsored jointly by the Embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Germany, and Business Sweden.

The award aims to strengthen business ties between Germany and Sweden, provide examples of successful global operations achieved through cross-border cooperation, and promote Swedish values when conducting business. Furthermore, the awards ceremony serves as a meeting point each year for the business, scientific and political communities to discuss best practices, achievements, challenges and trends.

“I am very proud of Tacton for receiving this award,” says Ewa Johansson, SVP DACH at Tacton. “It is one of the most prestigious prizes you can get as a Swedish company in the German market and it is a great honor for us. It shows that we are doing the right things in increasing our footprint in the DACH market. This prize also provides valuable recognition of the work we have done with many well-known Germany customers as well as Swedish customers, many of whom have subsidiaries in Germany.”

This year, Tacton Systems won the Newcomer award thanks to its innovative digital products, solid financial position and significant contribution to Sweden’s important German export market.

Thomas Ryberg, president of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Germany, highlights the influence of Swedish companies in the German market: “Swedes influence German business behind the scenes as ‘hidden champions’. Above all, digital solutions and innovative products are driving entrepreneurship in Germany.”

“We are extremely proud to have won this award in recognition of our company, our people, and our ability to promote Swedish business values,” says Frederic Laziou, CEO of Tacton. “We hope that Tacton can serve as a role model for other high-tech companies and entrepreneurs who have global ambitions yet value the importance of maintaining a firm local presence.”

The award will be presented by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden at a gala dinner in Leipzig on November 23, 2017.
